COMPANY PROFILE

Our customer is a chemical company that operates all over the world. It employs over 3,000 people supplemented by more than a thousand contractors. There are over 25 different installations on the site, each of which makes its own product, including ethylene, propylene, ammonia and caprolactam, to name but a few.

THE ASSIGNMENT

In the context of the European environmental legislation, a new waste gas treatment installation is needed for a CO2 stripping column. To remove the organic components from the waste gas flow before this is emitted into the atmosphere, the H2O content in the flow first has to be reduced using a condenser, after which the organic components are oxidised in an RTO.

In this context, we provided support for mechanical activities from conceptual design to the construction package.
