Vision 2020. What exactly is that?
It’s an afternoon that we set up from the start of Dixon Engineering to kick off the new year.
The whole team heads off to a place where first of all we take the time for a quick lunch so that everyone can start the well-filled afternoon on a full stomach.
During a presentation, we first go through the highlights of 2019. We take a look at the events, the newcomers and the fun things that have happened during the year. Then we explore just what 2019 has meant for Dixon Engineering in financial terms.
Time to stretch our legs! The group of 60 or so is split up into smaller groups to carry out a SWOT analysis of Dixon Engineering. This is information that is relevant for us, to be collected from all our staff and then analysed in depth. It's great to see that everyone provided input, both positive and negative.
Then we took our places again to actually examine the vision for 2020. New year, new goals. Stefanie, Alizé and Frederic spoke in turn, presenting the agenda for the coming year in terms of growth, marketing, HR, events and so on. So everyone now knows just what they can expect this year.
To end the afternoon, we divided up into smaller groups again. This time, to brainstorm on the topics that we will be rolling out in 2020. This way, everyone can give their input on the things we have presented. When I re-read all the results at the office afterwards, I noticed that this really is relevant information. Particularly as the team has grown a lot and works in many different locations.
To round off the fun but tiring afternoon, we ordered a few drinks at the bar. To raise our glasses to the past year and to the new year! A year when we plan to further develop a great many things.
